Eligibility for Application
- Candidates MUST possess a valid HKSAR identity card, or special approval from the HKSAR government to carry out volunteering activities in Hong Kong (Non-permanent residents of HKSAR shall check with the Immigration Department for their eligibility to carry out volunteering activities and if applicable, obtain the necessary permit)
- This award aims to encourage individuals who are first time volunteers or returning to volunteer service. Rising Star Volunteer means individual who volunteered through registered entity, including but not limited to corporations, non-governmental or non-profit organisations, government departments, statutory bodies, chambers of commerce, professional bodies or uniformed groups during 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025, but not in the past five years (1 January 2020 to 31 December 2024)
- Have a track record of continuous and active participation in volunteering and the promotion of volunteerism in Hong Kong or outside Hong Kong. All service records for the period MUST be endorsed and submitted by the above-mentioned recognised organisations or bodies
Judging and Selection Criteria
- JC VOLUNTEER TOGETHER Rising Star Volunteer Top Three Highest Hour Award (Top 3 individuals with the highest service hours)
- Excellence Award: 100 volunteer hours or above
- Certificate of Appreciation: 25 volunteer hours or above
- JC VOLUNTEER TOGETHER Family Volunteer Certificate of Appreciation
