To encourage volunteers aged 50 or above and acknowledge their contribution in volunteering. This award pays tribute to 50+ people who volunteer with passion and experience. It aims to enhance public awareness and social recognition towards volunteering and establish an exemplary volunteering model in the community to encourage more people to follow.

Eligibility for Application

• Candidates MUST possess a valid HKSAR identity card, or special approval from the HKSAR government to carry out volunteering activities in Hong Kong (Non-permanent residents of HKSAR shall check with the Immigration Department for their eligibility to carry out volunteering activities and if applicable, obtain the necessary permit)

• Aged 50 or above (born on 31 December 1974 or before)*

• Have a track record of continuous and active participation in volunteering and promoting volunteerism in Hong Kong, across the border or overseas. All service records for the period 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024 MUST be endorsed by registered commercial or non-profit organisations, including: government departments, statutory bodies, chambers of commerce, professional bodies or uniformed groups; and nominated by an individual or organisation

Judging and Selection Criteria*
