To nurture students to serve people in need and develop the value of volunteerism by encouraging schools to organise sustainable volunteer services and activities. Caring School Award is awarded based on the total volunteer service hours or volunteer services performed by the school in the period from 1 September to 31 August per academic year.

Eligibility for Application

Registered schools, tertiary institutions or other approved educational institutions in Hong Kong

Judging and Selection Criteria

1. School volunteer group has completed at least 2 volunteer services or has volunteered at least 100 service hours in the school year of 2024/25 (1 September 2024 to 31 August 2025). Qualified schools will be awarded Caring School certificate and entitled to use the "Caring School" logo for the year
2. Top ten schools with the highest volunteer hours will be awarded Top 10 Caring School certificate
3. Individual service records of school staff, students, parents, and their relatives/ friends in the school year of 2024/25 (1 September 2024 to 31 August 2025) could be endorsed and submitted by the school, and qualified individuals will be awarded the individual certificate according to the judging and selection criteria of the Individual Award (Volunteer Hours)*
