Past Awardees

Hong Kong Volunteer Award (HKVA) was first launched in 2005 by AVS. The biennial HKVA not only raised public awareness of the value of volunteering, but also facilitated the development of sustainable volunteerism in Hong Kong.

In 2022, the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and AVS co-organised and launched a new recognition scheme: the Hong Kong Volunteer Award (“HKV-Award”) included “Volunteer Hour Awards” and “Outstanding Awards”, “Caring Estate” and “Caring School” were also established to motivate more young people to participate in volunteering and to build a caring and inclusive society.
