It aims to enhance public awareness and social recognition and establish an exemplary volunteering model for the community to participate in youth volunteer services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Eligibility for Application&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Candidates MUST possess a valid HKSAR identity card, or special approval from the HKSAR government to carry out volunteering activities in Hong Kong (Non-permanent residents of HKSAR shall check with the Immigration Department for their eligibility to carry out volunteering activities and if applicable, obtain the necessary permit)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Aged 39 or below (born on 1 January 1985 or after)*<br><sub>*The age as at 31 December 2024<\/sub><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have a track record of continuous and active participation in volunteering and promoting volunteerism in Hong Kong, across the border or overseas. All service records for the period 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024 MUST be endorsed by registered commercial or non-profit organisations, including: government departments, statutory bodies, chambers of commerce, professional bodies or uniformed groups; and nominated by an individual or organisation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Judging and Selection Criteria<\/strong>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To be selected by the Judging Panel according to the below judging criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">* All judging items will be based on the activities, policy and impact in the year of 2024 (1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Contributions to the Community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Volunteer Performance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Service Involvement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Special Considerations<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The award recognises youth volunteers\u2019 contributions to volunteering, and pays tribute to youth volunteers\u2019 outstanding performance and achievements in promoting volunteering through their personal expertise\/ professional knowledge and skills.
